Chicken Run

Here's our 200 dollar chicken run that we purchased online.  I'd say it's nice for the price. The frame is light and snaps together fairly easy. It has nice round metal feet that they provide stakes you could stick through for better anchoring.

It comes with a very cheap chicken wire but it should hold for a few years and could easily be replaced with harder chicken wire or a finer wire mesh depending what predators you happen to have in your area.

We have foxes and coyotes where I live, so I just added additional chicken wire to the ground and ran it up abought 3-4 inches upon the existing wire already on the structure for added protection.

I still need to add dirt to it to weigh it down so I can put my rabbits in the structure again. They've already escaped once because I didn't have enough landscape staples to hold the wire mesh down securely. I found one happily inside the garden and the other outside the garden in a panic.

Now this structure does come with a tarp but its super cheap, Mine ripped of after one thunder storm.  I fixed it again and added tie wire though it multiple times along each side. However, another thunderstorm came and it was gone.

That not too bad though. I could always purchase a solid tarp yourself or strap particle board or planks along the frame.

Another thing I did was I cut a passage way between the chicken coop and the chicken run so that my chicken would remain completely safe going between the 2 structures.
